Coronavirus Update

Ok, I know you are hearing about the Coronavirus from every form of communication. Please make yourself aware of the symptoms and prevention methods. The following is from the Center for Disease Control (C.D.C.) at

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID19)
The virus is spread mainly from person to person. Between people who are in close contact with each other {within about 6 feet). Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface that has the virus on it then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.

Prevention and Treatment
There is currently no vaccine to prevent corona-virus disease 2019 {COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. CDC always recommends everyday preventative actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, including:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Stay home when you feel sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.

What to do if you are sick?
Call ahead to a healthcare professional if you develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough or difficulty breathing, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or if you live or have traveled to an area with ongoing spread.
