Message to my fellow union brothers & sisters

Special Message from Business Manager Leo Yanez

Brothers and sisters, first of all I want to thank each and everyone of you for the vote of confidence you have placed in me as the newly elected Business Manager of Local 83 IBEW.  We have taken the first of many steps on a long journey and we now need to unite and come together. I am confident that with your continuous support, we will be able to collectively overcome any difficulties we may encounter.

I am aware that I will not make everyone happy. I look forward to meeting many of you in person and I can only promise to work hard to protect the members and the integrity of our brotherhood.  Feel free to contact me at the union office anytime, my door is always open.

I have a few words for us to think about. Each word may mean something different to each of you depending on the individual. But please consider the meaning of these words and what they mean not only to you, but to our union;

 - Safety
 - Brotherhood
 - Perseverance
 - Humility, and above all
 - Faith

Please think about these words and make them part of your daily routine. I look forward to working with you, the Unit Chairs and all the members in the months and years to come. Thanks again.
