RENEW Committee Charter for Local 10

The "RENEW Committee" charter was granted to Local Union 10 IBEW on March 27, 2017. The committee is recognized and established for the purpose of inspiring the next generation of IBEW members to become active in their local unions by attending to issues that are important to younger workers. The "Reach out and Engage Next-gen Electrical Workers (RENEW) committee can provide the means for educational and social activities, strengthen the connections between young IBEW members, encourage them to be more fully informed about economic and political issues that affect them, and foster their relationships with established union members and local union leadership.

This RENEW committee is for IBEW Local 10 members between the ages of 18-35, and is a statement that the continued strength and vitality of the labor movement depends heavily on the ability of younger union members to develop into strong and effective labor leaders. A powerful labor movement can be built only through the recognition and inclusion of the full diversity of the labor force, including workers of all ages and ethnicity. The IBEW must actively develop-initiatives and programs aimed at bringing young workers to the labor movement.

If you are between the ages of 18 to 35 please consider becoming a member of the RENEW committee. That can be done by contacting the Local Union 10 IBEW office.
